Hello guys, I have a little problem with my Samsung chronos 7 laptop. I originally had windows 7 installed, and then everything was working like a charm with no issues, but then I upgraded my OS to the windows 8, and I was using in for some time. Yesterday I go back to windows 7 installation, but the Bluetooth does not work. It is not present in the device manager, and I cannot get it running. I checked it on intel centrino 6235 and second intel centrino 6230 wifi+bt card, but it does not work on any of them. I tried multiple drivers combinations and nothing happened.

Can someone help me with this problem?

    Hello BrX1991, welcome to NBR.

I have a NP700Z3A (very similar to yours, but 14 inch) with both Win7 and Win8 on different partitions. Bluetooth works out of the box, using just the drivers built into Win7 and Win8. That is using the Intel 6230 adapter in my machine.

Some variants of Z3A (my model) and Z5A (your model) use a Broadcom WiFi and Bluetooth adapter. If that is the case in yours, you need to use the Broadcom Bluetooth driver from Samsung, which is offered through SW Update. It sounds like your WiFi is working, otherwise you can download Broadcom WiFi drivers from Samsung's web site (such as this for NP700Z5A-S04US).

Note that Samsung stopped updating drivers on their website about a year ago, and all new drivers must be pulled from their database using SW Update, which you can download here.

If you still have your Recovery partition, you can also just press F4 at boot and restore the factory Win7 installation. You will be up and running in no time.

There is a fairly detailed Win7 install guide here, although admittedly, it assumes you are using Intel drivers. I should update the guide to cover models with Broadcom WiFi & Bluetooth.

Please let us know if this helps solve the problem :)

Installing drivers will not give expecting result because the bletooth is not present in device manager as I mentioned. And I cannot enable it in any way, so I cannot install drivers to it.

Is it turned off in (Easy) Settings (press Fn+F1 to run)? Or is there no Bluetooth option in that program.

There is no bluetooth option in easy settings, so I cant do anything with BT from it. The BT does not work on both cards as I mentioned. intel centrino 6235 was shipped to me last week, so it is not broken because BT was working on win8.

Also, any unconfigured devices in Device Manager?

If nothing there then it seems that the BT is turned off. Perhaps Fn + F12 might wake it up.
