Hi guys...Im thinking of selling my q35 and buying a macbook.

I can get the system back to its original state with the restore cds but what i cant seem to do is get the restoration program working again....when the system boot s it no longer asks to press f12 (i think) to go to the recovery program

As anyone any idea as to how i can get this back?....Ive not deleted the partition its still there.

Also i cant seem to get the AV button to work...what do i need to reinstall to get this app/button working?

Any info would be much appreciated....Thanks

With the Q35 you would have gotten two CDs, one labeled "System Recovery Media" and another called "System Software Media". I would presume that the AV Station software can be found on the second CD mentioned or on a different disk if you have the XP edition of the Q35.

Just out of interest, why do you want to get a Macbook over the Q35? From personal experience I have found the Q35 to offer a superior keyboard, longer battery life as well as being lighter and generally easier to carry around.

Hmm ok thanks...Yeah still unsure on whether to go the mac route or not

So do you think the Q35 is a much better machine than a mac book?

    thanks

I would say that it is. Its a tiny bit thicker but I don't mind that for the better keyboard and battery life. Still, it is completely your choice! If anything, wait for the next revision of macbooks simply because there won't be a huge power difference between current macbooks and the Q35.
