Hi all:
I have about $1K to spend on a laptop, and I'm looking at the Samsung Series 9 (Samsung NP900X3A-B03CA) or the Series 7 (NP700Z5A-S01CA).
Are there any notable drawbacks for either? I've heard that the Duralumin Series 9 has potential Wifi issues and some of the touchpads can be wonky.
I'm looking for the best battery life, and I'm vacillating between the 1600x900 resolution on the Series 7 and the 2.88lbs of the Series 9.
Any experience you can provide with one or the other would be greatly appreciated.

The 7 has a much larger hard disk (but not SSD, so slower), more RAM, and a dedicated Radeon graphics card. It's also much cheaper. I chose the 7 because you got more for less money and having a superlight machine is not a priority for me.
Some users have reported wifi and touchpad issues with the series 7 too. If you choose to go with that, make sure it comes with the Intel wifi card, not the Broadcomm one. Touchpad issues can be fixed by tweaking the settings.
I love my Series 7 and wouldn't dream of returning it for something else. -
Series 9 is like ultrabook. Slim and very portable
Series 7 is you want something powerful with dedicated graphic card and still light. -
Best of both: New Series 9 with 1600x900

The series 7 is more of a multimedia notebook while the series 9 is more of an ultrabook (made for portability).
Samsung series 9 vs. series 7?
