Hello everyone, I asked these questions in another forum and thought I would ask here also.
I am new to this forum and of course I have a problem.
OK, first off I am trying to fix a netbook with a bad display.
This is what I have:
So the netbook's display is black, and the BIOS screen does not appear when booting up.
When I connect the netbook to an external monitor the rest of the netbook appears to work fine.
I think my nephew dropped it, so it could be impact damage.
When I researched the problem I came to the conclusion that the problem could be the inverter, backlight, or screen.
From this website and others, I thought the problem was the inverter.
However, this website seems to say that there is NO inverter for the N130.
In addition, it seems that most screens are sold with backlights, which leaves me with 2 options:
purchase an inverter or a screen/backlight combo.
I was able to find a screen pretty easily, but not the inverter.
I could not find the N130 model on any of the websites which did sell inverters.
So my questions are:
1.) Does the Samsung NP-N130 have an inverter?
And if so:
2.) Does anyone know where I can purchase an inverter?
3.) Does anyone know the part number for the inverter so I can search for it?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

I think all netbooks use an LED backlit display, which idesn't need an inverter.
I would first try the cable connecting the display to the mainboard.

I think you are right.
I will check the cable also; should have done that already.
I also want to see if I can order the backlight by itself, might be cheaper that way.
Thanks again.

I think that you will find that the LED backlight system is built into the screen.
