    You can try running programs such as CPU-z or HWiNFO32 and see if they list a second RAM socket. Also, doesn't Crucial have a RAM advisor tool?

    I didn't actually disassemble mine any further, but when I had the bottom off, I shined a flashlight underneath the motherboard and looked, and can't see how there could be a second SODIMM slot on the other side. There simply isn't any room for the thickness of the slot, plus I didn't see anything sticking out that looked like a RAM slot.

    zap already took apart the laptop and by looking at the picture I am confident that there is no hidden 2nd slot. Why would they even make it so hidden?

    over at the egg you can find 2 different 8 gb sticks two different 8 gb options at the egg both are $149.99 with free shipping for me this would be an estimated 163.11, cause I would have to pay ca sales tax I dunno about you. :)
    PS: the next time one of you tears off the hood of this laptop (ssd or hd replacement please take decent high res pics. I dun have a decent cam :(
