Just got my Series 5 13 inch with 16G SSD/500GHD
Most of things are good but two questions/issues.

It seems that hibernation is not supported.
The problem also appeared here http://forum.notebookreview.com/sam...otebooks-ultrabooks-amd-radeon-hd7550m-4.html

I confirm the same thing on my laptop.

    C:\Users\username>powercfg /a
The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby ( S1 S3 )
The following sleep states are not available on this system:
    Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
    Hibernate
The system firmware does not support hibernation.
    Hybrid Sleep

I am not sure if it is normal (by design), or I did something wrong...If it is by design, why the SSD has a 4.29 GB hibernation partition? Could anyone with the same model check your configuration for me? Thanks,

UPDATED: I was able to enter BIOS now. But no corresponding setting in BIOS...

The default behaivor of closing the lid is to put it into sleep. And I believe it is still consuming battery in sleep mode. I am not very comfortable with that. And I did see twice that when I wake up, the laptop has to restart rather than back to original state(battery has not ran out, so why this happens?)
This seems to suggest that one cannot keep the system in sleep mode for a long time (while true hibernation mode supports this).

I have a similar problem. But this is my second Samsung Ultrobook 5 (the first got stolen) and with the first one I had no problems what so ever.

It does not start again after hibernation, nor after a closed lid and on top of that it cannot reiniciate...when I try to restart it, it just goes off and I have to start it with the on/off button. Otherwise the laptop runs smoothly...

Did anybody get this problem solved? I thought this was a problem in BIOS but I see no BIOS update at the webpage of Samsung.

The separate hibernation partition makes me wonder if the cause is an imperfect implementation of the Intel Rapid Start Technology. If so, the troubleshooting tips in this thread may be relevant.

I already posted a similar post in this forum, I have a almost-the-same problem... The problem you have, with the message "The system firmware does not support hibernation" I also had, and discovered the cause (I think): in Easy Settings (or something like that), if you have Intel Rapid Start ON, and the "hiberfil.sys" file is in C:, then it will give you that error, and no hibernation option. But if you turn off Intel Rapid Start, then you won't get that error anymore, and will be able to hibernate. The difference is that you will Hibernate to C:, instead of the dedicated hibernate partition in SSD, which is how Intel Rapid Start works.
In my case, the problem is that I have 8 Gb of RAM, but the partition created is only of 6 Gb... The hiberfil.sys file doesn't fit there... I'm trying to get that partition to 8 Gb, but it's getting really hard.

Hope I could be of some help...

EDIT: if you could do what I said, and turn hibernation on, once you do it, try to disable with this command on prompt "powercfg -h off
If it works, no message will appear. Only the hibernation option disappears. Then, turn Intel Rapid Start again On. See if it works. If not, try to turn it on with Hibernation Enabled (powercfg -h on). I assume you laptop has a 4 Gb hibernate partition, and 4 gb of RAM...
