No it doesn't hurt your wrist.

You are about the 100th person to ask this question already.

I don't understand why people even ask this. If this really was an issue it would have made A LOT of noise both on forums and reviews. It wouldn't have been something people needed to ask about anyway.

Sometimes you feel it not comfortable to place a wrist on metal like aluminium. But it won't cut or hurt your. Moreover, I love placing my arm on mine because I hate placing on those hot surface :D.

Hey, guys! Okay, I'm new here. I just joined to be able to post on here about this issue. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this computer. However, I am going to take it back to Best Buy and look at ......... i guess...... the Envy. I have to have the backlit keyboard, and I'm pretty limited to getting that at a decent price with the i7 processor.

Yes, it absolutely does hurt my wrists. Maybe if I held my wrists up high like they teach you in typing class, I wouldn't have this problem. Or perhaps if my desk happened to be at a different height... but it does hurt. I noticed it coming home in the car. (Yep, I unwrapped it, plugged it in and played with it all the way home last night.) I've been using it all day... absolutely I'm heartsick, because I love the keyboard, love the features. Wish it were 1080p, yes, but would have survived without it.

The case is not flush, so you get a sort-of scraping of the skin again some pretty rough metal on the edge of the case. The side of it is a little smoother. It must be a sign if people keep asking you about it. I googled it, and it definitely IS an issue. I will see if there is another one at BB that might not have this problem, but the one on display does also.

Just wanted to clear it up. AGain, what an awesome laptop to have such a bad problem. It's not something I can "get used to."

    Best to you,
    Angie

Honestly, I think the edge is a little bit sharper than it should be, but not enough to bother me much. I only notice it if I'm playing an FPS for a while with my left wrist from constantly using the WSAD keys, etc. Not a major problem, but noticeable. I don't notice it when typing at length though, probably because my hand moves a bit more frequently reaching for different keys.

Good idea. Note that the edge on the series 7 is plastic, not aluminum.

Because plastic is not metal . You cannot just make anything into some sharp by ignoring their facts.
