Hi!
I bought my 700Z5A-S04 a couple of weeks ago. Recently I noticed that when I plug in my headphones the plug doesn't go in all the way. About 1mm of the plug is left outside of the jack. This isn't really a problem since it's working properly and I can hear sounds in stereo. It's more of a cosmetical issue to me. Is this common for this particular model?

Have you got any other headphones to try? Do they all have the same amount left out?

I have tried a couple of headphones and they all have the same amount left out. -

OK. We have excluded a non-standard headphone plug. We'll have to wait for someone else with the 700Z5A-S04 to check theirs.

Here are a couple of pictures of this issue.

Tried pushing it in further?
Happens with their Galaxy S2 phone as well (and with some people at that). -
Did you ever get this problem fixed? I have the same issue on the same laptop, and was told by the Samsung help line that it's probably filled with dust, which is not their fault (although I did point out that it's probably a design fault). As far as I can see there is no dust.
Thanks -

I also don't believe the dust explanation. Just make sure that the plug is completely pushed in.

John was right, I have the chronos 7, which is amazing btw, and the headphone would not go in until I pushed it in pretty firmly. I couldnt really guess why samsung does this, perhaps so that it doesn't pop out accidentally or so that it makes contact and doesn't lose its tension with the plug over the life of the PC. Either way, thanks guys.
