    Guys,

I have recently ordered a Series 7 14" notebook that will be here tomorrow and am looking for a little guidance based upon some concerns I have reading reviews about clean installations.

Does anyone have detailed instructions on doing a clean install off of a different windows disk such as windows 7 pro/ultimate?

Here is my plan and I would just appreciate if someone would advise if anything should be different as I do not want to mess up the 8 GB iSSD cache partition.

    Steps:

    1. Delete all partitions for the 1 TB HDD (DO NOT TOUCH 8GB Cache)
    2. Format 1 TB HDD and Partition into 2 sections (DO NOT TOUCH 8GB Cache)
    3. Install windows on fist 1 TB HDD partition (AGAIN, NOT TOUCHING the 8GB Cache)
    4. Upon installation, Install Wireless Lan Driver and Easy Software.
    5. Install all drivers
    6. Enable Express Cache (If not already so) from Easy Software (I think).

My only concern is the formatting/installation part with the partitions. Does anyone have any pointers or is this the correct approach? Also does any one have any order to driver installation if doing it manually?

Thanks in advance, I just couldn't find a concrete guide detailed throughout the forum.

Thats the exact way I did it.

Concerning the driver installation I am pasting my answer from another thread:

-Install Lan-Drivers and/or Wireless Lan Drivers
    -Install Easy Software Manager
-Start Easy Software Manager, go to "Essential Software" install:
    *everything from driver category
    *everything from utility category
*the three windows patches under miscellaneous

You can also install leshcats updated graphics driver: http://leshcat.blogspot.com/

Awesome, thanks for the reply. After you re-install I am assuming that you had no issues with enabling express cache? Thanks again for the post.
