A strange fault has started to occur with my notebook over the last few days. The following keys are not working F - H - K - L - P - X - Y & the ENTER key. I have tried searching the internet for solutions but have come up with nothing.
Any help to this frustrating situation would be greatly appreciated.

I would boot off a Linux live CD / flash drive to confirm that this problem occurs in another operating system, in which case it must be a hardware fault.

There's a small chance that the problem is whether the keyboard cable connects to the main board and this might be accessible if you take the back off the computer and can find and re-seat the connector. Otherwise a new keyboard is needed. The keyboard design means that a swap is no longer a simple operation and is best entrusted to an authorised service centre.
