    Series 9 NP900X4C-A04US

    I have the Series 9 which has developed a crack in the lid at the left hand hinge, it appears both on the inside and the outside. Got a bit of an issue with getting it repaired, it's an American laptop and I stay in Scotland... I bought it from America as I was unable to get the 15" version here.

    Unsure if any repair centres would be able to fix this? Or worst case, it has to back to America to be fixed?

    If you are still in warranty then it should be covered by the Samsung global notebook warranty (provided you can persuade Samsung to accept that it's a manufacturing defect - what you are seeing is not a common problem so they might argue that it's user damage).

    The display on the US version is the same part as on the UK version of the X4C so spares are available in UK although not cheap.
