    Hi
I've just given up with Windows as I kept getting the boot message that I need to 'repair', which I did but that resolved nothing & told me to 'repair' again - which I did 3 times. Still no good.

So I booted up onto a pendrive & installed LinuxMint 64bit. That worked ok & Linux installed fine, partitioning the whole SSD.

But on re-boot I now get a 'boot-loop' and a 'Realtek PCI GBE family controller' error when I try to boot off the SSD to run Linux.

I expected that the SSD was dead but I didnt really expect to see this kind of error message for the SSD.

Anyone got any thoughts ? Is it the SSD ? or is it really the network controller ?

    Cheers

Does Live Linux work OK, including the network?

Is there a Linux utility (preferably from the SSD manufacturer) to read the SSD's SMART data?
