    Hi Folks,

I have been reading up about 3 laptops recently and waiting to try them out. These are the Sony Vaio Duo, the Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro 700t, and the Asus Taichi21.

As you can see, all 3 are 11.6" and have full fledged laptop processors with touchscreen ability and are very light. They all have active digitizers for stylus input as well. So that is the type of device I'm interested in.

I would like to try these out and have so far only been able to find the Sony. I just read news that the Asus is further delayed to an unknown date. Does anybody know what is happening with the Samsung? I can't find it anywhere in stores. There is no information that I can see out there about its availability. This whole thing is getting quite frustrating and pushing me towards the Sony as both laptops in my family are dead or dying and I need a replacement yesterday.

    Your input is appreciated.

Much thanks for the link. I see another person with a similar problem. However, I am specifically trying to find out when and where I can see one in person, in US stores.

This is particularly important to judge pen input and how well the whole thing works with regard to balance and ease of use. For example, despite many reviews and videos and comments about the Sony, I found the demo version in the Sony store to be unacceptably laggy.

Most Microsoft stores have the Samsung but they come and go as fast as they get a shipment so if you have one nearby call them first to check.

The only store in my area is a "holiday store". I am not sure it will have this laptop available, but I can give them a call and check. Thanks for the suggestion.

What model of SSD are they using? I would like to assume a Samsung 830, but the specs state SATA2, so I'm not sure what to think.

Got a demo in Microsoft store 2 weeks ago and machine was amazing. But they have not had any in stock since then.
However, I saw today that Amazon just changed from "on order" to "in stock". So maybe supply is freeing up?
