I got a samsung ativ 4 originally to use for class work, but ended up having to drop out and found a better paying job than I would have got with my degree. Anyway, I would like to turn this laptop into more of a gaming setup, any ideas on graphics cards or any other things I can do outside of upgrading ram to make it better?

It is the i7 15.6" model

It is unlikely that you can upgrade the graphics. The GPU is usually soldered. However, if you do not have a separate GPU then making sure that you have dual channel RAM will help the Intel GPU to run a little faster. If you have a separate GPU or the RAM already is dual channel then adding more RAM won't help unless you actually use it. Task Manager will show your current RAM usage.

An SSD would noticeably improve the everyday performance and make the computer more responsive although it would not improve the graphics.
