    Hi.

Before i upgraded to 07 firmware it use to work fine, now it gets to 99% and just hangs there for 5 mins and then the screen goes blank.

I have ran memtest+ and it finds 0 errors.

This 07 firmware is a pain in the ***, I have tried flashing back to 06 but flasher will not let me.

Can some body else with a Q210 or maybe the Q310 type MEMORY into the start search box and let me know what happens and what firmware you have?

    thanks

    John.

I just ran the memory diagnostics tool and it ran fine for me on my q310.

Not sure which firmware I'm using but I assume its the latest one, theres nothing new to download on the samsung update

Mine has got the 07 firmware (I assume) and it get to 99% then boots up to windows and after logging in, it says that no errors were detected. No hang at all.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi.

I have never had a single BSOD since i received my Q210, but it is strange how the vista memory test stops at 99%

    Thanks for the help.

    Regards

    John.

I'd assume the memory tester has a fault, not the memory.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

    Hi.

I have tried the memory test 2 dozen times and it always hangs at 99% , I even did a test the day before yesterday.

Now yesterday i upgraded my hdd to a 500gb WD and i just ran the memory test at it works now it got to 99% and then i heard a noise for my hdd, it must have went to sleep while the test was running and just woke up and the notebook reset and booted into Vista and i got a message saying 0 errors found.

I think the problem was my old Hitachi 320gb was not waking up when the test reached 99% and i was forced to power down the notebook after waiting 5 mins or more.

Strange i had no other problems with my old Hitachi 320gb, but at least the mystery is solved.

    Regards

    John.
