    I reinstalled Windows 8.1 (Laptop came with Windows7 )

I installed "Settings" from SW update. This does not show any on screen notifications for "Caps lock", "Wifi ON/OFF" etc in Windows 8.1

    My model - NP530U4C-S01IN - Samsung Series 5 ULTRA

    Thanks

That's another "improvement" made by Samsung in response to those people who objected to having the on-screen notifications.

Why Samsung didn't provide a switch in Settings for this feature is one of those mysteries which will never get solved.
