Is this the "S launcher" I have read about? I don't use it, but service is always running and using CPU? Any reason not to disable?

    Thanks!

p.s. Anyone recall seeing a bloatware list of descriptions anyplace?

    Hi baron,

Rather than disabling the service, I would uninstall the program using Windows Programs and Features control panel.

I just posted a quick cleanout guide here in the Owners Lounge. It contains a link to an earlier post listing Samsung bloat on my older Series 7.

Thanks for the guide link! I don't know where it might have gone, but I don't have an app corresponding to it -- looked thru the list a couple of times.

I seem to recall Samsung has a program launcher of some kind, Easy Launcher or Smart Launcher or something (absolutely brilliant naming, world class marketing right there :D )

    You don't have that installed?

That's what I thought it would have been also, but it is not installed per Programs and Settings.

Hmm... I wonder it it's a leftover that didn't get uninstalled. Like the sAgent service which is left behind when SW Update is uninstalled.

I can tell you the only Samsung software I have is Settings and SW Update (and drivers) and I don't have sLauncher.

Do you have any other items from the bloat list installed?
