I am going to buy a new laptop and after much research have settled on the NP700Z5C-S02UB ( Samsung Series 7 15.6" Laptop 8GB Memory 1TB Hard Drive NP700Z5C-S02UB - Best Buy)
But not knowing a whole lot about the cycles of when new laptops/processors/graphics cards come out, I wanted to ask, when should I buy this? I I want to buy sometime between now and about Memorial Day, so I guess my question is how likely is it that it will be worth it to wait the extra two-three months in the hopes that Samsung might release a newer version of this with a slightly better processor or graphics card in that time? Is anything on the horizon from Nvidia or Intel or does Samsung tend to release new models in this timeframe? Or is it impossible to say?

The newer model (Z5E) is already here and is discussed in this thread (easiest to start at the end and work back).

Is there anything else similar on the horizon for release in the next two months or so?

You can look through the details of the new models (arrived or imminent) here.

It is as John said: The new Z5E model is already out. It seems to have a few teething problems, but that is not uncommon for a new generation of hardware, and they will be worked out -- probably in the two-month timeframe you mention.
Alternatively, you can watch techbargains.com for clearance deals on the old Z5C model. There is tons of discussion about it in the thread linked below:

Update: LOL we must have posted exactly at the same time
Update2: That's a really great overview chart you posted there, John!
