I'm thinking of buying a new laptop and want one with expresscache along with the other features I require, but I can't find any information using Google. Does anyone know of a list which show which Samsung models do or don't have expresscache, any leads would be appreciated.

I am almost certain that all series 7 have ExpressCache, the older ones 8GB, some newer ones I heard had 16 or even 24GB.

I also tested a series 5 this summer with 500GB HDD and 16GB iSSD, 4GB of which were used for hibernation (Intel Rapid Start) and the rest for ExpressCache.

I am almost certain that all series 7 and 5 models with hard drives have some amount of ExpressCache. Obviously series 9 models that come with SSD instead of HDD don't have ExpressCache (SSDs are faster than the iSSD).

Guys, please correct me if I'm wrong.

On Samsung.com, the Spec section of the Support page for each model will (or should) say whether it has ExpressCache.

Well I have looked on the specs page of this models site plus what they pass off as a manual and on other models without being able to find any reference to expresscache.

    In any case thx.

I didn't realize there was so much difference between Samsung's web sites in difference countries. The US site is pretty consistent about having Specs pages for all models (although accuracy of those specs cannot be taken for granted). But on that AU site, some models didn't have Specs pages at all.

Indeed, the Specs page for the model you mention doesn't say it has ExpressCache. But then, neither does the Specs page for my model ( Specs - Notebooks NP700Z3AH | Samsung Laptops) although it DOES have 8 GB iSSD.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't much help

You saying that your model does have an ExpressCache, even though the AU site doesn't specify that it does, is most helpful.

    Thanks, you're being nice :)

I think all Series 7 have at least 8GB iSSD. Anybody who doesn't PLEASE speak up.

Not so sure about series 5.

I can confirm after buying both, that the NP520U4C does not have ExpressCache, and that the NP530 does. The box shows ExpressCache on the specs stickers, and there are expresscache settings as well as it shows up in the system. If your model has expresscache, my experience shows that it is fairly obvious.
