Hello All, I need your help as I had some issues recently with my workhorse NP900X3B. The left side fan stop working and the right side fan is working alone, which creates lot of noise and still system becomes very hot (pair of fans on the way in the mail). Its time for UPGRADE and I am thinking to go with updated model from samsung as I like the ergonomics and handing of this machine!

OK, My actual question is that if anybody have upgraded to Windows 10 with most (if not all) things working recently? I have updated 6 months ago and easy settings and Fn key commands didn't work and I reverted back to windows 7. Since I have been have some issues recently I have been thinking if I should try Windows 10 again?

Any feedback is highly appreciated :)

All I can say is that I, with great difficulty, resisted Windows 10's efforts to take over my NP900X3B due to concerns about compatibility with Samsung software. Easy Settings was superseded by Samsung's Settings for Windows 8 onwards but newer versions of that software have lost support for some of the features on the older notebooks. However, I need to do a clean installation of Windows 7 on my X3B because Windows Update seems to be broken - probably Microsoft's revenge for not allowing Windows 10 to take over.

I should note, however, that Windows 10 works OK in my NP900X4C which is only a few months newer than the X3B.

Thank you John. Actually Windows 10 didn't work. At first everything looked OK but the fan was keep running and the system was hot. So, I decided again to go back to Windows 7.
By that time new set of fans arrived in the mail and I replaced the old ones. Now the noise problem is solved and eveything is back to normal!! So this machine should serve me little more time (?).
    Thanks once again.
