    Windows 7 vs.Windows 8.1 battery life

    So i tested Windows 7 vs. Windows 8.1 on my NP900X3C.
    Interesting is how some review sites had better life with 7 and some with Windows 8,so thats the thing that push me to test myself ,close to my usage scenario.
    Brightness is set to 2/3 ,wifi and bluetooth are disable BUT ,i have USB dongle connected to internet.I opened browser and email client.I dont know does Internet explorer 11 refresh page sometimes(and i dont care) but i set email client to check for mails every 10 minutes.
    Windows 8.1 lasted 4 hours and 45 minutes while Windows 7 lasted 4 hours and 15 minutes.
    Both Windows uses 0.5W in sleep ,i checked with watt-meter.
    Does somebody know software that can show power consumption of SSD?

    Thats it .Did somebody else make some tests?
    P.S. I will now install Windows 8 (not 8.1) and test again.

    Windows 8.x may be more efficient coming in and out of sleep and hibernation. Also With Aero Glass and gadgets not being in windows 8.x along with possible other features thee is probably a battery savings as well. To be honest though too you need to average out about 5-10 times for battery life too from each OS.
