I have an X15 given to me and it has no caddy etc. The connector looks like a flat ribbon ZIF type.. but the spec says IDE/PATA so if anyone can help me out that would be great!

    Thanks in advance... Adam

It should be the standard IDE 2.5" Hard disk. For example, in one on-line reviews it is explicitly written that the disk is 40 GB (Toshiba MK4021GAS), so that you can use any ide 2.5" HDD (perhaps, below 160GB).

The zif connector probably is connected to the motherboard with zif and to the 2.5" ide connector on the other end.

    Thanks for the quick answer.

I don't suppose anyone has a picture of the connected drive? I've never seen a cable with ZIF one end and IDE the other... I hope its not some special lead only for this model!

Well, it is actually quite usual. zif goes to MB, and IDE to the hard disk.
