    Hi all,
I came across this offer in saveonsamsung. A X22 with T8300 priced at £599 Samsung_X22 and at the same site a R560 with T7350 priced at £665
    Samsung NP-R560.

Which do you think I should go for?

Also, the homepage of the website says that P460 is a replacement for X22. How is that possible?

I checked out with Samsung UK and they said that they have international warranty, need to confirm the same with Samsung India tomorrow as well.[ International warranty is becoming a dud.. ]

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner since I've effectively been offline for a week.

The discounted price of the X22 is very tempting. The one potential weakness is the battery life since it is only a 4 cell. There is an 8 cell option and I think you can find non-Samsung 8 cell batteries for around £60 which gives you the choice of either light weight or good battery life.

It is true that the P460 is the successor to the X22. The X series used to be aimed at business but now they are targeting the P series at business. The P series are the corresponding R series without the shiny bits. However, the P460 has the Intel GPU whereas if an R460 turns up then I expect it to have nVidia graphics. The X22 has ATI graphics so better than Intel 3D graphics.

I believe the X series used a metal chassis / screen back but I think the new P series may be just plastic.

If you're a gamer, go for R560. Has pretty good GPU.

Otherwise the smaller 14.1 X will short out your daily tasks.

Personally I think R560 is better since it gives you the choice for GPU intensive tasks.

I've found the X22a005 for 599 on pc-world, and I think it is a very good deal.
