Looks like my Samsung x30 optical drive has worn out. The OS can only see it on rare occasions and I think it is more likely the drive than the controller.

Does anyone know what model it is? Maybe an SN-324 drive.

Are all SN-324 drives are compatable? i.e. have the same motherboard connectors, bezel connection types and dimensions?

Would anyone know of a compatable DVD+RW drive that I could install as an upgrade?

Anyone have disassembly instrustions for the X30? I thought I knew where all the screws were but I seem to be missing something.
