    Hi all,

    i have a 530u4c model with a 20gb issd dedicated for expresscach.
    i am not using express cache and wanted to convert the unused 20gb to a regular data ssd.
    can this be done ?

    spec: win8 pro 64bit.

    Just uninstall the ExpressCache software in Windows Programs and Features Control Panel, reboot, then delete the current partition on the iSSD using Windows Disk Management. If Disk Management refuses to delete the partition, you can use DISKPART. Let us know if you need the steps for that -- and be careful not to touch other partitions.

    After this, you can create a new partition on the iSSD (again, using Disk Management) and format as NTFS. It will be like any other drive.
