hello guys, i got a series 7 a couple of weeks ago, and run into the inevitable GPU problems that everyone is talking about. then i found leshcat's modded drivers, which while made things better, didn't complete solve my problems.

you see, games that use open GL now play fine on the 12.1 or 11.12 versions, but there is one annoying thing: the ATI card is not recognised by most softwares, even though it kicks in at least while gaming.
but i really use a lot of Adobe after effects, and Maxon Cinema 4D, and being intensive memory programs, they grab a huge chunk of ram, wich makes the intel HD 3000 GPU crash for lack of memory, since these programs actually are using the intel card, because they don't recognise the ATI card, regardless of being in "high performance" or "power saving" under the switchable graphics card page.

    Here is the twist:

Using the 11.11a or the 11.11c versions have the side effect of making the GPU go into ATI fixed mode, which for me is great.
    however, anytime i open a 64bit application, i get the error 126.
i read the common fix to copy and rename openglxx.dll into system32 but i get an error message saying that the file could not be found. then i found it under /syswow64 and did the same, this time it renamed it to .dll, but i still get the error 126.

anyone actually managed to launch after effects cs5.5 or cinema4d r12 64 bit on a samsung series 7 chronos?

i'd appreciate if any of you that have access to this softwares had a try and report if you find the same issues....

Heya, Eddy. I have a license for CS4 Production Premium. That's NOT the edition I have installed on my Sammy right now, though (I have CS5.5 Web on here). If you think it would be helpful, I could probably install just the After Effects and Premiere off of my CS4 license, to see how they are behaving. I would only want to do it if it's going to help, though, since my CS4 is currently installed off-site, and I would have to go there, and de-activate it, before I could install it here.
