Has anyone encountered the latest version of the elan touchpad driver buggy?
Touchpad (Driver) (ver.10.7.13.1).This seems most unstable and characteristics as the right click becoming deactivated upon startup. I find that i have to go to the control panel to reactivate. Which touchpad version is the most reliable? Thanks everyone!

I am not undestand well the thing you said about right click deactivated. Are you refer to the right click as clicking everywhere around the touchpad or the right click on the virtual mouse button?

I also just updated the Elan touchpad driver to 10.7.13.1, and NOTHING works except the ability to move the cursor. Right and left click, tapping, selecting, dragging, multifunction gestures--all gone.

Have tried rolling back the driver (that didn't work--it took it the driver back to the default PS/2 driver, with very limited functionality)

Have tried unistalling the driver. Windowns reinstalled it on reboot; then all functionality was again gone.

The Elan driver worked briefly after one of my attempts to get it back the way it was, but the control panel was very buggy. Mousing over the checkboxes crashed the control panel. And, strangest of all, the 4-finger gesture option was simply gone. Nothing. It was there before I "updated."

Weird. Now the 4-finger scroll is back in control panel (had to use keyboard shortcuts to get there), but touchpad still totally non-functional except for cursor movement.

Does anyone know what is going on?

I use 10.7.13.1 since it came out and I have had no problems with it what so ever, and it feels like the best driver to date when it comes to the responsiveness of the trackpad. Never once have I had any gestures or functions stop working.

My guess is that you have something else that is conflicting with this driver, since the driver itself works just fine.

    EDIT:
Also, you should use the trackpad discussion thread for this instead of making a new one.

Which part of the mouse pad that you cannot click. Just image the mouse pad like the traditional one which has 2 left and righ button at the end. The most easy part to click is the part that at the bottom of the touchpad. Those are kind of virtual buttons. I have never seen any issue with those with any driver, however, one of those driver could cause trouble when you click the part that above those, for example, the part in the middle.

From the beginning nothing worked, then I managed to get some working.
But the problem was that I started the new program before I closedeasy software manager.. casuse when you close it then it will prompt you to restart your computer a second time.

I restored my computer to a earlier date then I installed it again and now it works properly

I experience currently the exact same problem! Can move mouse on touchpad, but touchpad buttons and double clicking on touchpad simply do not work.. Anybody has a solution already?

Do I really must restore to a very early date?? As I put on so many softwares on the laptop I would hate to restore it now... Thanks in advance if somebody has a solution..

Most discussion about the touchpad (if it is the Elan model which seems to be use in most / all current Samsung notebooks) is in this thread.
