    Hello,

I own a Samsung np900x3a notebook that I'm VERY happy with.

Just... the battery seem to be out of shape, which makes sense considering how often I use it and that I've had this beauty for about 2 years now.

Yet the battery is built in.

Was unable to find online any info about which battery fits this model.

Any idea here so I could march on and purchase a well functioning battery to keep the beauty alive and kicking even at times AC isn't around?

    Thanks,

You can look it up on samsungparts.com and find something like this for the NP900X3A-A02US. For some reason no batteries showed up for the NP900X3A-A01US. I didn't check the other submodels, and I don't know which one yours is.

Once you found the part number you want, you can order directly from that site or look around for better prices.

Thanks but... doesn't solve the problem.

Mine is "NP900X3A-A05" and on the website you mentioned there's only manuals, cable and adapter.

I think they couldn't be bothered to make part lists for each version when they are substantially the same. There's a battery under the -A03US. Its part number is BA43-00292A. The -B02US lists the same battery part.

Search around using that part number and you might find a better price. However, supplies seem to be limited.

Hmmmm....well, was able to find this part on Amazon for 124USD, which I guess I'd spend but... couldn't confirm anywhere it fits my model and spending so much only to find out it doesn't fit is no fun.

Any idea where I could find confirmation it fits my model?

There's only one type of batteries for these models? Some laptops have different type (6 or 9 cells, etc...).

    Thanks for the help!

My experience with the other Series 9 models is that the battery is standard. It's designed to fit into the available space and put in at the factory so there's no customer choice. In reality, there are some interesting variations such as the NP900X3C battery fits into the NP900X3B (the chassis is the same even if the board is different).

So I'm 99.99% confident that the battery specifically listed for two versions of the NP900X3A will also fit your version. If you are still worried then you can try to hunt down the specs and compare them for the various versions of the X3A. I doubt that the battery capacity is different.

The specs I was able to find of both models weren't very detailing when it comes to the battery. Big part of why I ended up here in the first place.

Hmmmm... I guess I'll take a swing. Doesn't look like there's another option.

Thanks a lot of the help one more time.

Please report back when you have done the swap so that others know whether it works.

    Well, finally an update.

Got the battery. It fits. Seems to work!
