i cant seem to find out how to put an image as my desktop background on my new laptop can anyone help ?![]()

Try right clicking in the desktop, select Personalize then look for Desktop Background near the bottom of the screen. Click on that and then browse for the image that you want to use.

it doesnt have any of those options it only has gadgets, screen resolution, new, ( which has only got like bit image, and icon things nothing to do with back grounds ) graphic properties, graphic options, refresh, sort by and view. ive literally gone through the whole computer and cannot find it. its very strange. anymore helpp ? thanks.

I'm short of other suggestions but I'm sure that it will be somewhere under desktop properties.

Can you use the search box in the start menu(orb) and search for 'background' or 'change desktop background'?

yeah its not working i dont know why but i cannot seem to get a background on this comp at all. weirrrd :S

nope that doesnt work either. hmm. doesnt even have them settings when i go into the whole appearance thing it only has stuff like change text change gadgets on screen nothing about a wall paper or background. never thought it would be this hard.

I'm wondering if you have the minimum user rights in Windows and everything is locked down.

You may need to log on as administrator. It is possible that your normal user logon has limited user rights.

i logged off and im the onlly one that can log on. seriously stuffed. theres no way to do it aii. maybe samsung would no ?
