Hi, i've only had this laptop a few days and have only installed office and msn messenger on it so far. I went to start a video session and found out the laptop doesn't think a webcam exists - but i can see it!
I've searched the device list and theres nothing present that resembles a camera. I have updated the BIOS and tried installing the drivers off the samsung support site but it says they are already installed. Looked through all the power options and theres nothing for a camera so its not off. What can i do?

oh, and ive also updated windows fully and ran the samsung hardware update utility.

ah I dont have an 'imaging device' section. I'm reinstalling vista right now as a last ditch effort. If not resolved now, must be the hardware right?

sounds like it may not be connected, not sure how different it is but, you have downloaded the driver for vista and not xp havn't you.
If you used the recovery cd have you installed the chipset drivers as well, my q310 is the same as tinderbox's laptop, it comes under imaging devices -
yep got the vista drivers!
ive asked to get a replacement from ebuyer. just hope they dont solve the problem some how and charge me!
