The T2060 has only 1MB cache compared with 2MB in the T2050 so it won't perform quite as well although I haven't seen any benchmarks. Personally, I would consider shelling out an extra £10 for the T2050 version, but that model only has 512MB RAM which would hamper performance unless further RAM is added. The other difference is Vista ( which version on the Tesco machine?) compared with XP Home. Overall, the Tesco version of the R40 represents good valeu provided it has Vista Home Premium.
Regarding quality and reliability, there is a review of an R40 in the reviews section and you can look through the various other R40 threads for any issues. My overall impression is good value for money. Battery life isn't generous because the battery isn't big, but this isn't an issue for the majority of notebook users.

PS: This even cheaper R40 (<£410) with the Celeron 430 has just popped up if your computing requirements are basic. I suspect this offer is stock clearance. -
