    samsung R538 with windows XP compatibility

    Hi
    I bought a samsung R538 notebook but can't install windows xp on that. I heared that the western digital HDD is not compatible with windows xp, is this true? (the HDD is 320GB) Please help me to resolve the problem.
    I have a application software that only run under windows xp because that work with USB Port.

    I also heared that I must change ATHI option in Setup of Bios window to install windows xp on sata2 HDD of laptop. is this true?????????

    Do you mean that it has a WD advanced format HDD? If so, then get this utility from WD.
