referring to the Samsung series 7 NP700Z5A-S01UK

was wondering if theres anyone from UK here.
im in no rush to get this laptop, currently the only places that are selling it in the UK are dabs/john lewis/pc world/currys

i never buy pc components from these places (usually either ebuyer or scan.co.uj for me). last time i bought a laptop was 4 years ago from dell.

    1st question:
do samsung only use high street retailers? Or should i expect to see this laptop being sold in other places soon? like ebuyer etc...

    2nd question:
buy now? or wait till next year - presuming prices might go down? or do these kind of laptops normally hold steady on prices?

has anyone bought before christmas, then seen the same laptop cheaper in january or february and regretted it?

I'm not sure whether there will be much price reduction, but I'm still going to wait until the Christmas sales just in case.

John Lewis and PC World are already discounting £100 – £700 for the AO1DX model (i5, 6Gb, no discrete graphics), and £900 for the SO1UK model (i7, 8Gb, ATI card). John Lewis are a good company to buy from – they give a 3 year warranty.

One thing it may be worth waiting for is a backlit keyboard. Although all the UK reviews feature a backlit keyboard – most retailers are selling non-backlit versions. PC World does have a backlit model on display, but their website says it’s not backlit!
