    samsung cannot recover the system with the recovery solution

    Hi all,

    I met a very searial problem.

    I cannot using F4 to get recovery solution screen when I installed the ubuntu as the sencond OS. My laptop is samsung rc512-w01us.
    1. I risized the HD with windows 7 disk mannager and got additional partition for install ubuntu.
    2. The HD has five partition as (1) system; (2) windows boot partition; (3) recovery; (4) extented partition 1 for ubuntu; (5) extanted partition 2 for swapper.
    3. After installing the ubuntu, the message "recvery area cannot found" shows up when I try start the recovery solution. The recovery partition is exist when using windors7 disk management checks HD.
    4. Using F4 to try into recovery solution screen is failure with black screen.

    Does Anyone know how I can make the recovery solution work on my laptop?

    It is possible that the Recovery Solution looks in a specific place on the drive for the recovery area. If the area has moved then it doesn't know where to look.

    Hi John,

    It's recognized by Windows when I used command diskmgmt.msc. The recovery partition looks well. I think the MBR table is damged. Can it be fixed?
