my new samsung notebook (new 4 month) stopped while i was surfing the web through Firefox then developed blue screen and gave message dumping memory failed. I pressed power button and tried to restart it but it go to the initial logo screen and no further. it shows press f2 for setup or f4 for recovery. pressing f2 and f4 doing nothing also pressing f8 do nothing. I tried to use recovery disk, live xp cd and hering boot cd but non of them boot or come into screen although I can hear the sound of rotating the DVD drive.
I can hear the fan is working also. I tried to remove the battery many times but the problem persist. I tried pressing power button for 1 min but no change. the indicator of HDD is lightening. Can you help me please?.

I have read posts on other sites which dealt with similar issues, sometimes the hard drive is stuck in a loop and can't get past that point in start up. Unplugging the hard drive for a minute or so as to discharge any residual charge and re-plugging it back in could break the loop, that is if indeed that is the problem.

I would try to reset the computer by disconnecting the mains, removing the battery and holding down the power button for a minute. Then replace the battery, reconnect the PSU and try to start. If that doesn't work then I would remove the HDD completely and booting without it to see if I can get into the BIOS setup. If that is possible, then replace the HDD and try again. If you still can't get into the BIOS setup with the HDD connected then I suspect a serious HDD problem. Put it into an external USB enclosure and see if it works when connected to another computer.
