    samsung q310 ouput sound through hdmi

    Hi, i have just tried playing my computer through a hdmi tv but i can get the picture but no sound, the sound still comes out of the laptop when on hdmi,

    Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Hi.

    Go to Sound in the control panel, and click on Nvidia Hdmi Output.

    for some reason i dont have that, i only have realtek hd.... i have just tried installing the hdmi and sound driver again, will it only show when you have hdmi plugged in?

    just 2 let u know, im running xp and not vista

    It will show without the Hdmi plugged in but it will only activate, when it is plugged in.

    I am running Vista.

    thanks, it suddenly sarted working, not wure why, Do you know how to make a custome resolution when outputting through hdmi as my tv is 1366 x 768.

    yeah go to control panel and then go to nvidia control panel you will be able to change the external size of the screen from there :D
