    1. My letter "w" key seems to be extra sensitive. Even when I push some of the adjacent keys like "e" or "r", every once in a while those letters will also push a "w". Anyone else have this problem and what's the best way to fix it (i.e pull off the "w" key, open up keyboard, etc.)? I might just let it be cause it only happens just once in a while but thought I'd ask.

    2. I'm sure this is a silly question but I noticed the C drive has 100 GB while the D drive has 350 GB. Can I store documents in the D drive as well (seems like all the "user" stuff gets set off to the C: drive)? Where's the last 50 GB of the 500 GB the computer is supposed to have?

    3. Everytime I start internet explorer after I've restarted my computer, it says that IE closed unexpectedly last time and asks me if I want to restore my last session (even though it didn't shut down unexpectedly last time). Anyone else have this problem and if so how did you fix it? Perhaps this is a microsoft and not samsung question but since IE came preinstalled, I thought I'd check.

Anyway I still think its a great computer for the price. Thanks.

I've not heard of this problem although some people have had problems with their space bar needing to be pressed in the right place. Did your 'w' key malfunction from new? If yws, then contact Samsung support. If no, then get an air duster and try blasting any muck out from under the keyboard. I do not recommend trying to remove the key: Some of the mechanism is quite delicate.

Yes. Get all your user files onto D. You may be able to do this easily by creating a "My Documents" folder on D and then changing the properties of the My Documents link in Explorer. If you need to restore a backup of C then everything on C gets deleted and overwritten so D is a safer place for user files.

In reality, a 500GB HDD is only 465GB. The manufacturers consider that k=1000 whereas computers think k=1024. So (500 x 1000 x 1000 x 1000)/(1024 x 1024 x 1024) = 460. Where is the other 15GB? Some gets lost when the HDD is formatted but I expect that there is also a hidden partition containing a factory installation of Windows (when can be loaded if you press F4 when the BIOS screen is displayed).

I think that is an IE / Windows problem. Does it happen when closing and then restarting IE without restarting the computer?

Thanks John. Very helpful answers. Especially about the D drive. I didn't know that.

The internet explorer works fine when i restart IE without restarting the computer - its only when I restart the computer.

Does the problem happen if you close IE before shutting down the computer? I can understand the message appearing if IE is killed during shutdown.

One way to minimise the appearance of the message is to use hibernation, so you are only restarting Windows occasionally (usually when required to do so by Windows update).

It still happens if I shut down IE before turning off the computer. I'm guessing it's probably and IE problem, not laptop related. I'll ask some other sources and see if I can find an answer but if not, its not a big deal. Just though some of you might have experienced it as well.

It sounds like IE is not actually closing when you close the last IE window. Check and see if there is an "IExplorer" process still running in Task Manager.

No. IE is shut down. Oh well, its a pretty minor thing. I'll ask some other sources and I'll bet I can find an answer.

Thanks a lot for all your help.
