whats in the box in a q45 - got thrown away !

I have recently bought a q45 and the box it came in got thrown out by mistake , I am trying to find out if there was a vista recovery disk in there , can anyone tell me wether the q45 comes with a recovery disk , or is it all done from the hard drive if you need to recover ?
If there was a recovery disk does anyone know where I can download an image from , thanks

 

I would expect the box contents for the Q45 to be very similar to the Q70. For full details see my Q70 review (link below). So yes, there should be a couple of discs and a recovery manual which somewhere tells you how to restore from the image on the HDD.

BTW, my first rule when buying consumer electronics is to keep the box at least until the warranty has expired because if there's a problem and you need to send it back then the original packaging is the best. Also, if you decide to sell, having the box usually adds some value.

yes i did intend to keep the box , it came in an outer box from john lewis , in a moment of haste i threw away the samsung box and kept the outer ! doh !
going to try and get a replacement somehow..
