which of this samsung software is good and which is junk?

    Support for NP350V5C

    easy file share
    easy migration
    easy settings
    easy software manager
    easy support center
    recovery solution
    software launcher

I've removed the following from the list as they're not really the kind of thing i'm asking about- install guide, mce update, ms hotfix common, ms hotfix critical updates, WiMAX(xp), though any remarks on those are welcome. But i'm mainly asking about those i've mentioned in the linear list above.

Well, you know what they say: One man's junk is another man's... wait, that didn't come out right :D

Of course my point is some people may have a use for stuff that others consider junk. Personally, Easy Settings is the only Samsung software I keep on my PC -- and even that one has too heavy a footprint for me.

I DO install the hotfix packages when I make new installations -- and I do so before connecting to the internet, just in case.

This post lists a lot of the Samsung stuff that came with my NP700Z3A and my thoughts on it (that was a link).

If you're leaning towards more extreme trimming, you may find something useful in this thread on reducing latencies.

I apologize for the shameless promotion of my own posts; this is favorite subject of mine

With the Gamer I use EasySettings for the FN keys and ModeShift for the gaming mode dial. I have the bios updater as well as they are not posted to the support site and the only way to get the bios updates. Other than that I mostly keep drivers updated from the hardware manufacturers.

I think Easy Software Manager (which will supersede itself by SW Update) is worth having since Samsung are using this to serve out updates and not bothering to keep the download site updated.

You are allowed to choose which of the offered updates to install.
