I've heard that antivirus programs dont block trojans because they are not techniqually viruses.
I know AVG is one of the better ones though, and also the one I use. does AVG detect and delete trojans or does it not, anybody know?

You heard wrong.
-
Where in the WORLD did you hear that??
-
Blocking Trojans is a basic part of any AV's job.
-
well ok good then
you know...heard it on the internet. **** unreliable internet -
Haha, you are learning fast young grasshoppa.

I wouldn't use AVG, had issues with it w while ago, now use Avira.
Just installed avira on my desktop, (should have done it a while ago), and it's picked up 2 trojans so far the AVG has missed. Thanks AVG.
Edit: 3 now. -
no antivirus is perfect. the recent version of AVG has a new different detection core with a pretty good heuristics (at least it never failed me yet). it definitely *can* detect & delete trojans, not all of them of course, but no antivirus can. the jerks are simply always faster...
/me had no issues with using AVG for last cca 7 years
AVG & Trojans?
