Hi, I was just looking for a good Anti-virus program that is best suited for Windows XP. I haven't really lurked around the Windows OS forum lately and don't really have the time to search for a similar thread. I am installing WinXP onto my Macbook and would like to get a virus-blocker that's free, good, and doesn't hog all my resources. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response, Cin'! I'll give it a try and tell ya how it goes.

You can't really go wrong with Avira. I find it to be less annoying then AVG.

A is for Awesome! Yes, please let me/us all know how it works!
Exactly! Avira was referred to me by someone I know well on the forum

+1 for avira. I've used a few, AVG, NIS 2009 and always keep going back to Avira. Very easy to use, and not to intrusive.

avast & Avira

Another vote for Avira. I do like Avast as a back-up on-demand scanner.

Hm. AVG's ok for me...

Did you have a chance to install and check out Avira yet??
Just wondering how it worked.

Glad it's working for you!
I think you will really like it as an AV program!
