I've been using Comodo Internet Security for about two years now, and have come away largely unimpressed with it. With that said, I'm looking to move on to something different.
What are your recommendations for an Internet Security suite that is both free and highly effective at the same time?

I would just use MSE + Windows 7 firewall. I can't see what more you would need.
Are you looking for specific features? -
No, not really. I honestly don't trust Microsoft to keep my computer "safe" although I do use MSE.

Windows 7 firewall and Online Armor are two of the best you'll get for free. Win 7 is only a firewall though and is a little more difficult to set up if you're not going to just allow all outbound connections. Keep in mind that you'll also have an additional built in firewall if you're behind a router.
If you're going to trust any AV vendor, MSE is going to be no different. -
+1 for MSE and Win7 firewall. I have been using Comodo too, but it is somehow not polished and can be complicated. It was fun while I was researching and analysing things but now I am also close to switching to MSE and Win firewall.

In your original post you say that you use Comodo Internet Security, then in the quoted post you say you use MSE. Are you using both at the same time?
Comodo Internet Security - Other alternatives?
