Is there a proper way of doing it? I have a trial of Norton 360, and will download;
Antivir Free
Threatfire
Super anti spyware
Comodo Fire Wall
Also, do I need to change settings so all of these can work together?

The Norton Removal Tool is neccesary if you want to actually uninstall norton.
-
Thanks... When it is uninstalled should I really quickly get Avira? Would my laptop be at risk while Avira would be d/l ing?
-
If you are worried about a virus infection in between the uninstallation of norton and the installation of avira, just dowload all necessary software (norton removal tool and avira), then disconnect from internet and now you can safely remove norton and intall avira
-
Oh OK. Im D/L Remover and Avira now. When I have Avira I will go after the rest. With the rest will they all be combatbile? Will I have to turn stuff off on Comodo to allow Threatfire to work etc?
-
Turning off Defense+ of Comodo is recommended if you have threatfire running. Also, most of them are compatible with each other but for safety's sake post what you're going to install here so we can analyze it and tell you if they work nicely with each other.

Do a Virus scan and Norton will delete itself. LOL

Dump Comodo. Uninstall Norton, and the hidden drivers Norton installs.
Get a reputable firewall. -
???
Please explain, John. I've had no problems with Comodo or the machine on which it's installed. Your posts are usually excellent, but normally you explain and elaborate a bit more than here. -

I have a serious problem with any software vendor that dumps alpha (pre-beta) software on an unsuspecting population and then uses the information gathered from that test to develop their "FREE" offering.
No thanks. -
So.. whats better than Comodo? -
Fair enough. To each his own. I like Comodo and have had no problems with it at all.
Glad I came back to this thread, Baserk. This is the first I've ever read about Jetico.

There is usually some good info on firewalls over here.
I still prefer ZoneAlarm AntiVirus on Vista Home Premium.
Delete Norton?
