I know this is a repost, but I thought that this was an awesome deal and everyone should get it.

ill try it now

Cool, though i'm sure many here would prefer free software.
-
Actually Kaspersky is better than free software. Number 2 choice after NOD32.
-
Bump if anyone needs this...
-
Hm, the Chinese site makes it look iffy. does anyone have any positive feedback about it. i am just paranoid, because my free norton trial is up.
-
what is to stop said curious user from downloading it every year, as long as needed (granted it is still active)?
-
can we use the serial key on the english version of this? without understanding chinese, it can be very hard and frustrating to figure out what everything says!
-
How is the serial supposed to look? Because I can't seem to find anything that looks like a serial key in the email :\
EDIT: Seems like I found it, if anyone use Minefield as browser, check the follow up link in the email with IE or FF2 -
can anyone give me a confirmation on this? is it still valid? i tryed the site thing, but everything from enter email again, forth, doesnt work.
-
Hi,
Been trying to figure out whether this works, but I've hit a snag at step 4; what is this "drop-down menu" you refer to?
I've read through the forums a little, and the closest I can find so far is a promotion regarding the Lunar New Year of the Rat. If you participate actively in forum discussion and acquire a total of 2000 "karma points", you can then get an activation code for Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 7.0. -

Check this link. It has step by step ppt in english. -
Thanks for the instructions.
-
is this for just the antivirus or the internet security suite? i dont want to download KIS when the serial is only for the antivirus
ok. i signed up for the bbs, but never received the keycodes. i think this offer is over. -
It takes a while.
-
I never get to the page to enter my email, it just forwards me to a page that looks like a forum or something. I click on the link as soon as I see it come up. Also this doe?sn't seem to let me use an email on the first page to try again. Any ideas?

I still can not understand how this product of Russian FSB (KGB) collaborator Kaspersky which is able to send to your computer with "updates" whatever it decides to is allowed to be present on the US and European markets.
-
I'm surprised no one has yet to point at the huge moral issues about this. The free one year subscription is for people who are seriously struggling from the worst winter in decades, not you spongers sitting comfortably at home. Please don't take advantage of the goodwill and go buy a freakin copy of Kaspersky if you need an antivirus so badly. There's no doubt that all of you on this forum have the money to do so.
[edit] What's even sicker is that people at slickdeals and fatwallet are selling these keys to make money... -
I don't see a whole moral issue in getting this. People struggling in winter are not going to die without a 1 yr subscription to an antivirus program.
-
Heh. Just trying to see if this is for real; I've already bought my copy of Kaspersky and am waiting for my notebook to install it on.
-
I actually donated $20 to the fund cause I have family that lives in China, but not in that part.
-
Kaspersky is lecturing for the Russian FSB (post-KGB) Academy and his "laboratory" is involved in the cybercriminal activities of Russian special services, including that agains russian democratic opposition, the internet information sites of the Chechen resistance, and the cyberterroristic attacks against the NATO member Estonia one year ago. It is just to mention few.
I haven't read your links, but I remember well the apologizing articles from The Guardian related to the Russian war against Chechnya and the story of the polonium poisoning of the Russian FSB dissident in London Mr. Litvinenko (whose critical articles against Putin's special services criminal activities and his regime in general I knew very well) by Putin's agents.
Knowing a little bit more about the issues than the average public I consider it is my duty to mention this aspect of Kaspersky "antivirus" to prevent its wide adoption without thinking twice. There are enough good antiviruses including free ones which make the use of Kaspersky-FSB paid product hardly justified and, IMO, potentially dangerous for the whole internet community. -
It is sad to see here how a good will and humanity of people is exploited for commercial purposes and even for financing the organization (kaspersky's lab) which actually works under the supervision of the special services of the country which is explicitly standing against the values of freedom, democracy and human rights.

If you share your coffee room with those who write troyans and viruses you can easily beat competitors in detection statistics, AND make your software not sensible to the infections you (your colleagues from the coffee room) actually want to distribute.
I remember f-secure at least once reported a virus which attacked computers with non-russian keyboards only. Guess it, it was not detected by Kaspersky. -
I know it's immoral, but that is quite possibly the funniest thing I have read all day. Err, I know 60 dollars is a lot to some people, but don't exploit this. Just buy yourself a new copy or avast professional for 40 bucks if you need an antivirus.

I think I'll buy two copies.

Guys, you can buy licensed KIS 2009, 3 user from the Indian distributor for ~10 USD. I don't know what the shipping cost for the box might work out for the CONUS, but you can always ask the seller to send you the key via email along with a picture of the original box and a scanned copy of the bill with VAT and sales tax no on it.
A very nice deal IMHO.
I have already confirmed from Kaspersky that the keys are legit. -
I've bought several 1 year licenses on eBay for less than $7. They all worked fine.
