This might be a bit advanced and beyond a lot of people on this board but it seems quite useful, I've wanted a tool like this in the past. MS has released this software (ASA), which takes snapshots of your entire system (before installing a program) and compares it to snapshots taken after you install a program - really useful if you aren't entirely sure what a program will do or change once installed. Best used in a sandboxed environment or VM for safe testing of sketchy code. Again, beyond what most people will need or want to do, but there you go.

probably the best microsoft app ever...
really great tool -
I don't think I'll bother with it for my own laptop (Home Server Backup if something goes wrong) but that does sound like a very useful tool.
Good find

Didn't comodo do this a couple of years ago with Comodo Time Machine?

Have you played with EMET?
(Completely different tool of course but that might be my 'best (beta) app ever').
CTM is a rollback utility/Comodo 'system restore' program. I doesn't allow for comparing snapshots afaik.
