Hi,
I have MSE every once in a while popping a "Sample Submission" dialog, in many cases completely without a valid reason:
![]()
like here. It gave the same error when I was installing some other free programs.
Is there any way of disabling this?
(Couldn't find anything useful googling.)
Thanks.

Check your settings, you may have selected "advanced membership" under Microsoft SpyNet. In that case it does send "home" info about files like the picture you show above.

I have advanced selected, and never got a popup like that. Maybe it differs from user to user.

Depends on location - I'm in South Korea - several programs/sites would pop-up when had it checked - all were legit, but was just as the OP stated - annoying. Believe MS using the info from numerous users to update the database.
