Hi,
I am very compulsive about security.. so i thought of asking..
I have already installed NOD32... but its sooo low on Resource Hog that i feel its hardly doing any work like Norton... (finally i uninstalled Norton.. my comp is so fast now)
So should i install AVG simultaneously with NOD32?
Will Two AV programs give additional security or will they cause conflict & bloat the comp?

You can have two AV programs, but having two with their active protection on will cause conflicts. I wouldn't worry about NOD32 being low on resources, that's why it costs money....scratch that, Norton costs money as well....that's why it's good. Just double check that NOD32's active protection is turned on.

just use one!!!! the virus-scan engine dig in/modified your operating system kernel, and using two might cause conflicts.
dont use multiple firewall
do use multiple spyware scanner (when possible), but only use ONE real-time scanning. -
The only thing that NOD32's low resource usage tells you is the people that worked on it know how to program properly, unlike those idiots that made Norton.

You shouldn't really use 2 or more antivirus programs at once. I just use the free full version of McAfee that Verizon provides. It is all-inclusive, with virus scanning, antispyware and firewall. If you use 2 or more, they could find each other's files (like Quarantine files, etc.) and possibly cause issues. And BTW, never use Norton. I have fixed like 8 people's computers that have had broken Norton installs and couldn't get onto the Internet or ran slowly or the OS wasn't working right until Norton was uninstalled.

you should trust NOD32, it's good and light weight!

As others have said, you shouldn't run more than one AV or firewall. Another reason would be that NOD32 is pretty much the best AV out there.

So far I am really very satisfied with NOD32 and found no problem with it and it's no good to mix NOD32 with another AV
Multiple AV recommended or feared?
