Which paid security suite offers excellent protection, gives the user the most control, runs the least intrusively without slowing the system to a snails pace? Oh, and one that offers the option of a boxed delivery versus download only.
I've read the many many discussions about all the free av, aspy, firewalls but I want one product suite that will do it all. If at all possible I'd like to stay away from McAfee and Nortons as one sleeps on the job and the other is just a hog. I'm running NSS 07 on my desktop and when it phones home everything grinds to a halt. I don't want to do that to my new laptop.
Thanks in advance

The last time I used a security software I used Outpost, but their antivirus sucks. I think you should take a look at ESET's current offering.

Don't use any but these get good reports..
Kaspersky and ESET NOD32 suites
edit.
ESET Smart Security: Kaspersky Internet Security -
ESET is what I use. Try it free for 30 days, and you will never look back.

The least resources hogs, effectiveness : ESET Smart Security.

avast works great. its got 8 shields to protect your computer.
works great if you do p2p , email and other things. -
I forgot about Kaspersky. The antivirus is great.

N2008 isn't bad at all...much improved from N2007.

I am using ZoneAlarm AntiVirus, with additional changes to Vista, all as documented on my web site.
It really makes a difference on whether you are running XP or Vista, whether you game or not, what browser you use, and your general computer usage patterns. -
I didn't know it made a difference on anything other than the operating system (and of course web browsing on high risk sites). It's on a Vista machine, no gaming, no p2p, using Foxfire & IE, general surfing and data entry all over the web 24/7, running Apache localhost server, email from many yahoo groups (need good security for these lol).
ESET sounds good but does anyone know if it comes in a box?
Thanks again -

No gaming and no P2P gives you more options. Vista limits options a bit, but not as much as it used to.
