Just installed a Crucial M4. After doing it a second time was able to install all the Drivers Correctly. Started loading all my Programs. The first install started right after Macafee Install. I also noticed a problem in a driver in device manager. After not being able to install and getting BSOD. I started over. Again everything went well. The installed Macafee again and the BSOD's started again. Loaded in safe mode and uninstalled and problems are gone. Has anyone else had a problem with Anti Virus programs. Have Now install MS security Essentials and no problems yet.

Never had good luck with McAfee in the past but for straight up Antivirus programs, MS Security Essentials is the best I have ever used. Lightweight and not full of bloatware like many on the market. Stick with MS Security Essentials and be happy
But to answer your question, it should not have interfered with your SSD install. I say it is McAfee is your issue.
Good luck

Agree with MS Security Essentials. I never install until last and I do not let updates install on auto. To avoid problems I always pick what MS installs.

i pretty much deleted mcafee right away from my laptop. i feel it really throws off my computer performance.

mcafee sucks. I had a 3 yr sub come with one of my computers (E1705) and I deleted it within 2 days. I loved the warning........ something like........
are you sure you want to delete your prepaid 3yr subscription and walk away from all the great features of security?
YES YES YES LOL. -
Get MSE or NOD32

Mcaffee is a serious piece of bloat that can easily cause issues and slows down computer performance (and it's not good as a security program either).
I recommend you remove it from the system entirely, and put MSE, Avira, or Avast as a replacement.
Your computer will be thankful to you. -
Using a M4 with MSE on my desktop and everything has been stable since i built it in august. McAfee is seriously one of the worst AVs out there.
