I just saw this over at pcworld.com and thought you would be interested. It essentially confirms what we already know. Apple Mac has more vulnerabilities but due to market share and poor third-party software Microsoft Windows is subject to more security issues. Of course this is produced by a security company that would have its own agenda to push.

You're not exactly "kicking the hive", but it does show one of the reasons for Macs reputation for invulnerability to viruses. Even so, there is still a design advantage that limits the ease at which a Mac can be vulnerable to attack. Though this advantage gap is even less with the introduction of W7.
Even so, a hundred of so known viruses with the Mac vs 12 million for PC is a sizable gap to bridge. Market share do have it negatives.
